Hannity Scores Big Ratings with Wild Giuliani Interview

The talk of the town right now is Former NYC Mayor and now legal adviser to the President, Rudy Giuliani. He went on Fox News Wednesday night to reveal certain key details, never before admitted by the Trump legal team about the Stormy Daniels case.

Giuliani said Trump repaid attorney Michael Cohen for giving $130,000 in hush money to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Among other things, Hannity pulled out all the Trump favorites, attacking the “liberal media”, for spending too much time on the above bombshell admission. Giuliani has since stated that there have been other “campaign expenses,” that Trump was paying Cohen for.

2.867 million watched Hannity’s interview with Giuliani on Wednesday, but since then the clip has gone viral, so much so, that certain late night hosts joke that thanks to Giuliani Hannity is now watchable. Or at least, Hannity is getting some new eyeballs. Hannity is now first in the cable news prime-time hour but the host seemed to struggle with the revelation.

Since Wednesday, Giuliani has been on a whirlwind media tour, not unlike the disgraced WH aide, Sam Nunberg.  Rudy launched his media plan late Wednesday night on Fox News with full Trump support, but WH didn’t know about the interview. That means that Sean Hannity is also culpable. Trump went right to Hannity, or Giuliani himself did. Which wouldn’t be surprising considering Giuliani’s ties to the network.

This seems to be a counter-response to Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels lawyer. Who has been recorded as being on CNN more than 60 times. Avenatti meanwhile is such a hot ticket item that he has been rumored to have been approached by multiple TV networks to get his own show. Being that he’s on TV (usually CNN) or twitter right as breaking news starts to happen in the Stormy case. He’s the first lawyer to actually publicly humiliate Trump in full view of the public.

Usually Trump settles in court.

So the question remains: What media plan will work? Rudy’s crazy Trumpian way? Or Avenatti’s analytical way? One thing is clear, two old school NYC lawyers are going at it in full display of the public. Using the media to their ultimate advantage. And the public can’t get enough.
