Colbert Bringing Cartoon Donald Trump to ShowTime

ShowTime is getting comedy gold. Literally.

When Stephen Colbert took over the late show, things were a bit shaky as the late night host couldn’t seem to shake his claim to fame. Seemingly, stereotyped from his fake conservative pundit days, Colbert couldn’t break the ice by just copying David Letterman.

Then, Trump announced he was running for President and the rest is history. From his semi-political guests to his live temper tantrum on ShowTime on election night, when Trump won. Colbert has since been mercilessly mocking Trump every show! Perhaps one of his funniest bits was the Cartoon Donald Trump.

ShowTime’s President commented, “Stephen and Chris have an uncanny genius for deconstructing the world of President Trump, and this series opens a new realm for them. Their vision will produce a comedy that makes waves, gets attention and plays great on our networks, including our streaming service.” it will apparently be sort of like an office satire about President Trump.

Wondering how Cartoon Trump will keep up with the daily antics of the real Trump? ShowTime says they will be working hard to keep the cartoon current and up to date. The possibilities for this could be endless. In essence with the advancements of live streaming, Cartoon Trump could butt onto the national scene moments after or even during breaking news!

For now though, the untitled, half-hour show will run for 10 episodes and premiere in fall 2018.
